Sen. Cruz: U.S.-Japan Trade Agreement Good News for Farmers and Ranchers in Texas

September 26, 2019

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) issued the following statement applauding the U.S.-Japan Trade Agreement:

"This is good news for hardworking farmers and ranchers in Texas and across the country who will be able to sell their homegrown products to even more consumers around the world. The U.S.-Japan Trade Agreement is another important step in growing our agriculture industry and the U.S. economy, and will help strengthen economic and diplomatic ties to an important ally in the Asia-Pacific region, especially as President Trump continues leading efforts to hold China accountable. I applaud the administration for delivering this agreement and look forward to more deals that enhance fair and reciprocal trade, increase American prosperity, and strengthen our relationships internationally."
