Sen. Cruz Urges Texans to Be Prepared as 2019 Hurricane Season Begins

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today issued the following statement urging fellow Texans to be prepared as hurricane season begins:

“Although Hurricane Harvey hit our shores almost two years ago, it’s still very present in all of our memories. As Texans we have seen firsthand the devastation and destruction that harmful storms and severe flooding can cause and thus should not be taken lightly. June marks the beginning of hurricane season and I urge all Texans to please be prepared this hurricane season. Texas is strong and resilient; however, our state is not immune to catastrophic natural disasters. I encourage everyone to heed local warnings from officials and stay prepared by utilizing all available resources at their disposal to make sure they are ready for this year’s hurricane season.”
