Sen. Cruz Issues Statement on President Biden’s Proposed Federal Employee Vaccine Mandate

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, today released the following statement in opposition to the Biden administration's plan to implement a vaccine mandate for all federal employees:

"President Biden's new vaccine mandate for federal employees is a brazen example of how the Left is politicizing science in the service of their authoritarian instincts. Vaccines mandates violate our rights to medical privacy and autonomy, and they are the start of a slippery slope toward excessive government control, bringing us closer and closer to mandated vaccine passports, school closures, and more draconian lockdowns. President Biden should listen to the American people: there should be no federal COVID mandates of any kind. The American people must maintain their individual liberties and the right to make their own medical decisions."
