WALLER, Texas — U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today visited the Daikin Texas Technology Park in Waller. There, he met with executives and employees while touring the facility – which is set to have its grand opening in May. During his tour, he discussed his efforts to create good-paying jobs and expand opportunity for hardworking Texans.

“I was honored to have the opportunity to visit the hardworking men and women here at Daikin,” Sen. Cruz said. “As the world’s largest producer of heating, cooling and refrigerant products, it’s no mistake you all would have a significant presence here in Texas. That’s because here we know the power of free enterprise and the economic growth that we can create when we get the government off the backs of the job creators and the working men and women of our state.”

Daikin is one of the world’s leading air conditioning manufacturers, with products sold in more than 140 countries. The Daikin Texas Technology Park, which will have its grand opening in May, is set to employ more than 5,000 people by 2018.
