VIDEO: 'The Biden Express is Headed Left' - Elizabeth Warren for Treasury Secretary

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Ahead of this week's presidential debate, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today released the third edition of his video series "The Biden Express is Headed Left" - highlighting the extreme policy agenda of Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), the "favorite" to become Treasury Secretary in a Joe Biden administration.
Elizabeth Warren is already entrenched in Joe Biden's camp as a "confidant" and "key adviser," bringing her radical agenda on a host of issues to the forefront and lending Biden her "progressive credentials." As Joe Biden prepares to face off with President Trump in Tuesday's debate, Warren's influence is likely to be on full display.
Warren's penchant for reckless spending was evident during her presidential campaign as she authored an ambitious "Medicare for All" plan, a plan to cancel student loan debt, a $10.7 trillion "clean energy" plan, and a universal child care plan. All told, Elizabeth Warren's spending proposals totaled between $38-$48 trillion.
During her presidential run, Warren famously claimed that her health-care plan could be paid for "without raising taxes one penny on middle-class families." She also failed to mention that her plan would crush small businesses by forcing employers to cover the costs of their employees' health coverage. Even left-leaning analysts at the Urban Brookings Tax Policy Center called her proposal an "indirect tax." Just this summer, liberal icon Barney Frank said nominating Warren for Treasury Secretary would be "a mistake."
Bottom Line: As the country recovers from the economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, hard working men and women can't afford to cover the costs of Elizabeth Warren's spending wish-list. Putting Warren in charge of maintaining the economy and our government's finances would prevent our economy from returning to its historic levels and devastate job creators who are desperately trying to bring their employees back to work.
Be on the lookout for more radical Cabinet contenders in the weeks ahead.
