Sen. Cruz Discusses Jobs and Economic Growth With Igloo Products Corp. Employees

Tours iconic Texas company's facility in Katy and participates in town hall with employees

KATY, Texas - U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today visited the headquarters of Igloo Products Corp. and toured its production facility, as well as participated in a town hall with Igloo's employees.

"I want to congratulate Igloo on the 70th anniversary that this company celebrated earlier this year," said Sen. Cruz. "Igloo is one of thousands of true Texas success stories, small businesses that are built with the enterprising spirit of hardworking Texans and that grow into leaders in their industries employing hundreds or thousands of people across our state. What folks here understand is that jobs and economic growth, they come from the private sector, they come from entrepreneurs putting capital at risk, and they come from small businesses. Two-thirds of all new jobs come from small businesses. And in the U.S. Senate, I will continue to pursue policies that help these employers grow, that help create jobs for hardworking Texans, and that make it easier for people to provide for their families. I am proud of the work Igloo Products Corp. has done in providing good-paying jobs and economic opportunity here in the Houston area and was grateful to be able to meet and speak with Igloo employees today."
