Sen. Cruz: As Border Crisis Rages, President Biden’s Warnings Are Insufficient

WASHINGTON, D.C. - In September 2020, Joe Biden called for a halt in deportations, mass amnesty, and health care benefits for illegal immigrants, signaling to future illegal immigrants that if he became president the border would be wide open.

And as a result, people came.

Today, HHS Secretary Mayorkas again refused to call Biden's border crisis a crisis.

Now, CBS News has reported that there are more than 13,000 unaccompanied migrant children in U.S. custody, far more than had been previously reported.

With a humanitarian, public health, and national security crisis raging at the southern border, President Biden's belated call for migrants not to flood the border is a day late, and a dollar short.

President Biden's "warnings" are a completely insufficient response to a desperate crisis.

Bottom Line: This crisis is the direct result of President Biden's radical open borders agenda. Enough is enough. Sen. Cruz is calling on the Biden administration to reverse course and reinstitute border polices that put the health and safety of the American people first.
