Sen. Cruz Issues Statement on the Appointment of Mark Geyer as the New Director of the Johnson Space Center

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today issued the following statement in response to the appointment of Mark Geyer as the new Director of the Johnson Space Center.
“The Johnson Space Center plays a crucial role in the Houston community, the state of Texas, and our national space program,” Sen. Cruz said. “With nearly three decades of experience, Mark has a proven track record of success which has put the United States and our national space program in a position to explore deep space in the not too distant future. With Mark’s expertise and skills, I am confident that the Johnson Space Center will continue to grow in its responsibilities and operate as the crown jewel of NASA. I look forward to working with Mark as he leads the dedicated men and women serving at the Johnson Space Center.”
