“Governor Greg Abbott and U.S. Senator Ted Cruz met with Refugio county officials at the Refugio County Community Center on Monday. Cruz told the group that the goal of the meeting was to better connect local leaders with federal resources. […] "This storm has been a devastating storm," said Sen. Cruz. "Texas is hurting. The entire Gulf Coast from Corpus to Louisiana is hurting, but our state is also coming together. We are coming together powerfully. We are standing together as one. One of the things that's been very encouraging, is there is very significant relief from the federal government that is moving forward."
